The purpose of using book trailers is to motivate students to read for pleasure. I have used these trailers successfully in third grade and second grade classrooms. There were waiting lists for any trailer shown (even though I had 4 copies of each book)! I will continue to add books at a variety of grade levels. Typically I read the words aloud as the video plays to help those who need it, then I show excitement about what I like about the book. Works like a charm!
